Under conditions of sufficient water and fertilizer, the first-level side shoots can reach 13–16 branches, allowing for 4–7 consecutive harvests. The optimal time for harvesting is when the side shoot stems are about 15 cm long. The small florets are compact and dark green, while the stems are long, evenly rounded, and full. They offer a delicate texture-crisp, tender, and juicy. They can be cooked whole or sliced and stir-fried. The yield is closely related to the harvesting standard and frequency of the side shoots.
