Anchusa Seeds

This plant is heat-tolerant, adaptable to both high-rainfall and drought conditions, but not cold-hardy. It grows in most soils except extremely poor ones. Native to the eastern Mediterranean coast and Asia Minor, it is now widely cultivated in Europe and North America as a nectar plant. Its fresh leaves are consumed as a vegetable in Europe, while both fresh and dried leaves are used to flavor stews and soups.
